چکیده
In this study, the SDS/[email protected] composite as a novel adsorbent has been prepared via facile synergistic effect of cationic surfactant (CTAB) and anionic (SDS) for modification montmorillonite, it was utilized to remove malachite green (MG) from aqueous solutions. The structure morphology were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FT-IR) spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission (TEM), Energy Dispersive Analysis X?rays (EDAX), N2 adsorption/desorption isotherms (BET method). found be highly negatively surface charged, showed good adsorption properties MG molecules, reaching maximum dye adsorbed amount 1021.45 mg/g. Further, at equilibrium, experimental in agreement with theoretical predicted data Langmuir model (R2 = 0.99), indicating that molecules homogenously formed monolayer on surface. Moreover, kinetics well fitted pseudo-second-order 0.99). From temperature thermodynamic parameters, such G, ?H ?S assessed, their values revealed reaction spontaneous, exothermic resulted decrease randomness Finally, new mechanism proposed confirmed water onto hydrophobic hydrophilic interactions.

متن کاملThe Perlite-calcium Alginate-activated Carbon Composite as an Efficient Adsorbent for the Removal of Dyes from Aqueous Solutions
To remove dyes from wastewater, the perlite-calcium alginate–activated carbon (PCA) composite was prepared by a simple method. This composite was characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM, and BET techniques. A high capacity of PCA was observed for the adsorption of some dyes such as methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) from aqueous solutions (1111 and 909 mg g-1). The best results were achieved at...

متن کاملCoal Ash as a Low Cost Adsorbent for the Removal of Xylenol Orange from Aqueous Solution
The removal ofxylenol orange from aqueous solution onto the coal ash was investigated at room temperature. The results show that the adsorption capacity of xylenol orange increased as the adsorption time increased and then equilibrium established after 30 min adsorption time. The results obtained revealed that the coal ash removed about 80 % of xylenol orange from the aqueous solution withi...
